Shaquille O’Neal, 40, is a native of Newark. He was a teenager when he left the city. However, the capital never left him as he reiterated in most of his interviews. Today, he is helping the community in every way he can.

Omar Boraie founded Development in the early 1970s. The real estate firm builds residential and retail properties in urban areas. The company also manages properties such as rental units while maintaining the building. The establishment of The Aspire in New Brunswick is attributed to Boraie Development. The tower has 283 residential units including 10.00 square meters of retail space. The building has a parking garage with a modern elevator that’s directly linked to the lobby. Residents can easily access social amenities.

The rooftop has a garden space that can host guests for dinner or barbeque. It also has a fitness center that has the latest equipment. Boraie Development has also built a similar building in Newark. This tower was constructed in collaboration with Shaquille O’Neal who is a former NBA star. It’s the first residential tower to be constructed through such a partnership. The duo intends to develop more properties in New Jersey’s distressed locations where better housing rates are required.

The project began in 2013. It was worth $60 million and was also the initial residential tower to be established in Newark in the first half of the century. To celebrate this accomplishment, Shaquille O’Neal alongside team leaders from Boraie Development held a ceremony that was attended by Mayor Cory Booker and Senator Robert Menendez. Shaquille O’Neal is still helping the company to plan the projects.
