Peter Briger served as US Treasury official for the John F Kennedy and Lyndon B Johnson administrations and provided high-level insight and valuable strategic guidance for the administrations within the global alternative asset industry. Fortress Investment Group was founded in 1998 and quickly became one of the fastest growing alternative asset buyout firms in the world. In fact, the company became the first buyout company to be traded on the New York Stock Exchange in 2007. In 2002, Peter Briger joined the Fortress Investment Group and provided strategic leadership within the Fortress Credit Business that established that sector as one of the strongest credit investment funds in the world. Serving as Chief Executive Officer of the credit business at Fortress Investment Group, Peter Briger provided leadership for more than 500 professional investors and managers and leveraged the human capital to solidify the company’s credit business as a robust conglomerate within the alternative asset investment sectors. Peter Briger was educated at Princeton University where you receive his Bachelors of Arts Degree and continued his education at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania where he received his Masters of Business Administration. After college, Peter Briger began his investment career at Goldman Sachs where he quickly excelled and became one of the more valuable investment managers within the company. He became a partner and managing director and quickly began leading the organization by Co-Heading various global committees for the firm.

Peter Briger served as co-head of the Special Operations Asia fund LLC, the Fixed-Income Principal Investments Group, the Whole Loan Sales and Trading Business, the Asian Real Estate Private Equity business, and the Asian Distressed-Debt business. As a member of these distinguished committees within Goldman Sachs, Peter Briger developed a key insight into global alternative assets and became a pioneer in the strategic evaluation and analysis of opportunities to produce lucrative returns on investments through global investments in the alternative asset industry. His global insight and understanding of international affairs with regards to business and investments has allowed him to serve as a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Peter Briger also served on two presidential administrations and provided key insight and guidance on the international investment in alternative assets.
