Not too many people are aware that Israeli-Americans who expatriated from Israel after it’s establishment in 1948, and who weren’t part of the established Jewish-American community have had difficulty finding a home abroad. Adam Milstein, an Israeli-American himself has documented this in some of the articles he’s written for Israeli newspapers. Israelis tend to have a deep sense of pride in their land, and they used to look down on people who left even if it was for purposes like pursuing education or business abroad. Milstein has been working for organizations who build ties between Israeli-Americans, the Jewish community and the nation of Israel and has helped all parties understand that Israelis abroad are doing work that’s just as important as those in the homeland, and that all share a common love of Israel.

Adam Milstein is a Managing Partner of Hager Pacific Properties where he arranges financing and brokers deals for large purchases of residential and commercial real estate across the US. The company portfolio has billions worth in these properties. He’s also President of the Israeli-American Council and the Milstein Family Foundation. His work at these foundations is guided by three principles of active philanthropy, path life impact and philanthropic synergy. To sum these up, Adam Milstein and his wife Gila don’t just give money to groups they support, but they also are personally involved at the grassroots level of all of them. Their target groups are young children, college campuses and even later adults, and they also reach out to Jewish community leaders, religious organizations and even political donors like Haim Saban and Sheldon Adelson who are on the opposite sides of the aisle from each other.

Adam Milstein is a former veteran of the Israeli Defense Forces who did a tour during the Yom Kippur War of 1973, and a graduate of the Technion Israeli Institute of Technology. He also did work in building framing prior to moving to the US and getting his master’s at USC. Groups that he and his wife are active with include Hillel International, Students Supporting Israel, Birthright Israel, Hasbara Fellowships and StandWithUs.
